FAQ’s

What types of lab work will I get?

Your lab work is chosen based on your symptom presentation, health assessment, and overall goals.  I am certified to run urine and saliva hormone testing, blood chemistries, and stool testing.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance at this time.  However, some clients find that they are able to use FSA or HSA.

I've felt terrible for so long and nothing I've tried has helped. How will Nutritional Therapy be any different?

Firstly it is important to understand that Nutritional Therapy Practitioners do not diagnose or treat diseases. 

However, in our time together I will support and educate you on how to take control of your own health.   

Other methods you may have tried before, especially if they were traditional western medicine, focused on symptom management from practitioners that you spent 15 minutes or less with. 

I only work with a handful of clients at a time so that I can dedicate the time to give each one personalized attention and support.

This time allows us to not only address your nutrition and health but also achieve a balance between body and mind. 

What kind of food will I eat?

I subscribe to the school of Ancestral Eating,  that is eating what our great ancestors would recognize as food and following the principles of Weston A. Price, a diet full of good fats, protein, and veggies from whole food sources.

Although I work with many different dietary regimens, my program is not suitable for strict vegans who are not willing to incorporate some kind of animal protein in their diet.

Will I have to cook?

Healing starts in the kitchen and the best way to know what is in our food is to prepare it ourselves.

Don’t worry. You do not have to be Julia Child.  I work with all culinary skill levels and will tailor your protocol to suit yours.

I don't like to take pills, are supplements required?

This is a food-first approach.  Targeted supplementation facilitates the healing process by aiding digestion, blood sugar regulation, and fatty-acid balance while we work on optimizing your diet, but you will reap massive benefits from a whole-food, nutrient-dense diet alone.

 

I don't know if I can commit to this right now. How much time will I have to dedicate to therapy?

That entirely depends on you.  There will always be a vacation, holiday, or conflict that will delay the start of a big change.

What are your goals and how important is this to you? These are only questions you can answer.

Healing Intensives are a 4-6 month commitment.  This is why all clients start with 1 Deep Dive Session before purchasing an extended program.

There are times in life when starting an intensive Nutritional Therapy protocol is not right.

Recently at my annual doctor’s visit, my blood pressure was elevated 152/90.
